Tuckahoe Sports (TSI) is excited to announce our softball coaching staff for the upcoming season.Ā We are happy to share that both Tabby Dabney and Lisa Smith will be returning.
Tabby looks forward to working with her team at 14U and Lisa will move up to 12U.
Welcome New TSI Softball Coaching Staff
Shireese Borden, has been hired as the Softball Director of Player Development with a focus on enhancing our Developmental program.Ā Shireese is currently Assistant Head Coach at Virginia Union University and for the last 5 years has had experience in coaching, team building and player/program development, fitness and strength training along with motivational speaking.
She will be working with all coaches and teams and also teaching all summer and year round camps.Ā Additionally, she will be available for individual lessons.Ā Reach out to schedule a lesson today with Shiresse.Ā We are excited to have her join the TSI team!
We would also like to introduce Kendra Hoes, a four-year starter for North Carolina Wesleyan College. She played the outfield and during her last two years was team captain, earned All-Conference Honors and tied the school record for most home runs in a single season.Ā Kendra will also be available for hitting and fielding lessons.
Shannon Epstein is incredibly excited to join Tuckahoe Sports for her first year of coaching. She spent most of her time behind the plate as a catcher and DP.Ā Throughout her softball career, she has had many opportunities supporting the youth of her community and teaching them the rules, regulations, and love of softball.
Playing baseball and softball for 15 years, her knowledge of the game is as strong her desire to teach the game. Dedication, communication, fun, and strong work ethic, guides her coaching philosophy while staying true to the game of softball.
Shannon is available for lessons as well.
TSI Softball Teams for Fall 2021
We currently expect to have a 10U, two 12U, and a 14U team in the fall and believe that our current and new staff will help to further develop the girls and strengthen the program as a whole.Ā New coaches will be attending upcoming practices, teaching lessons/camps, and will all be participating in tryouts in July.
