TSI and Henrico Police Athletic League (PAL) continued their long partnership again this summer. Throughout June and July 2023, four dates were coordinated at Tuckahoe Park. During each visit, approximately 500 girls and boys attended from local PAL summer camp locations.
Players were able to field, throw, and hit with their peers while spending a great morning in the park focused on the basics of softball and baseball. TSI staff, TSI coaches, and players all joined in to share their expertise!
This year our volunteers were boosted by Virginia Credit Union staff members who also participated.
TSI staff provided equipment and mentors to move things along on each field where the kids are broken into team by age group.
At the same time, kudos go out to Henrico Parks and Recreation staff who worked to get the fields ready for each day’s activities!
