With the start of the 2020-21 baseball season, the TSI Baseball program has added several new coaches to its staff.Ā As the program continues to grow, more and more talented coaches are joining to help the growth and development of our athletes.
Johnny Wilson is in his first year at TSI.Ā Starting in May, Johnny oversaw several youth summer baseball camps where he became a player favorite. Shortly after, he was named Head Coach of the 10U TSI Titans and Asst. of the 14U Mid-Atlantic Orioles. As a JV Baseball Coach at Trinity Episcopal School, our young athletes are able to learn advanced baseball IQ and skill building techniques to continue their development. Coach Wilson specializes in Infield, Outfield, Catching, and Hitting. Coach Wilson led the 10U Titans to their first championship game in their first tournament on Sept. 27th finishing Runner-Up.
Chuck West has been a huge proponent to the growth and recruitment of players for the TSI Baseball program the past 4 years.Ā Severing as an Assistant Coach for Orioles Middle School teams, he was recently named 8U TSI Titans Head Coach for the 2020-2021 season. Coach West has led TLL All-star teams to several championships over the years and currently serves on the TLL Board. The 8U Titans will start their season with their first tourney on Oct. 4th.
Jason Williams is in his first season at TSI as the Head Coach of the 14U Orioles.Ā Coach Williams brings a history of winning with several TLL All-star teams and being ranked 17th in the State of Virginia with his 13U team in 2019. The 14U Orioles look to be one of the top 14U teams in the state as they prepare for High School Showcase baseball.
Scott Berger is in his 2nd year on the TSI Baseball Staff, 1st as Head Coach.Ā Coach Berger was named Head Coach for the 9U TSI Titans for the 2020-21 season after serving as an Assistant Coach for 8U Titans the previous season.Ā Coach Berger has coached several TLL All-star teams and served as President for Tuckahoe Little League from 2018-2020.Ā Coach Berger and the 9U Titansā first tournament will be Oct. 10th.
Mark Pierce is in his first season at TSI and has been named Head Coach of our 11U Orioles team.Ā Coach Mark brings experience from coaching Middle School baseball at Holman Middle and High School Baseball at Glen Allen High.Ā Coach Mark will specialize in developing pitchers and outfielders as our athletes prepare for Middle School baseball. The 11U Orioles started their first tournament on September 12th.
Austin Schnarrs is in his 2nd season with the TSI Baseball program.Ā Coach Schnarrs brings Division I College playing experience where he played at Monmouth University as a catcher.Ā Coach Austin stepped in as the Head Coach for the 2023 Orioles during the summer of 2020.Ā Coach Austin will be helping these athletes throughout their recruiting process with the assistance of the TSI Baseball staff. Coach Austin and the 2023 Orioles will be playing in high profile events in the future such as WWBA Perfect Game & PBR World Series.Ā These events will expose our athletes to hundreds of Division I, II, III and JUCO colleges and university coaches.
