A message from
Michele Hawkins-McHenry,
Director of Softball Operations
In my first two weeks of observing practices and games and having the opportunity to meet so many of you (as the new Director of Softball Operations at Tuckahoe Sports)Ā I am reminded of a story that one of my old coaches from the Pro League has shared.
The sports of softball and baseball have so many valuable life lessons to teach us.
Because ours are games of failure, we must be patient, diligent, and have a strong belief in the skills we are developing.Ā Here is an article link which relates those core principles to the growth of the Chinese Bamboo Tree:
3 Coaching Lessons from the Chinese Bamboo Tree
I hope you enjoy!
Michele
p.s. If I did not get a chance to meet you this week at one of the Meet & Greet sessions, I hope your family makes it out to one of my free softball clinics on Sunday, July 14 and TSI softball tryouts Sat July 27 – Sun July 28.
