Need assistance with your children this school year now that Virtual School has been announced?
TSI is exploring Supervised School Age Virtual Learning Option for School Year here at the TSI Training Center (Grades 3-8)
TSI is exploring the option of utilizing our classrooms during the school year to provide a supervised space where kids can complete the Virtual Learning being offered through your County. Groups would be limited to permit social distancing and protocols will be followed based on Guidelines from the CDC. While not providing the instruction, TSI would offer the environment, support and Wi-Fi that would allow your child to participate with the County provided curriculum.
This would be an option for parents of kids in Grades 3-8 that need supervision during the day and believe that their child would be able to follow the County provided school day virtually on their own laptop.
We envision limiting capacity in our large and small classroom to allow for social distancing and grouping the kids by age. Brain Breaks would be provided both inside and out.
Students would need to enroll at TSI for the entire nine-week semester with the exception of published school holidays. We would look to hire teachers (retired or current) who would be able to oversee the classroom setting, provide assistance thru tutoring, and maintain our protocol as related to social distancing.
Breaks could include either inside or outside options along with opportunities for physical activity in the indoor field house or Tuckahoe Park. On school holidays we would offer athletic camps that could be registered for separately. For those students who seek to improve their baseball/softball skills or speed & agility there would be options for adding lessons or programming before or after class time ends daily. Lunches could be provided thru a vendor and available for purchase or brought in based on preference.
Weekly per student cost: $250
Hours: 7:45 am – 3:30 pm
After school activities available for an additional cost.
