Based on your virtual learning survey input, TSI will be offering Supervised School Age Virtual Learning for Fall 2020 at the TSI Training Center (Grades 3-8).
Tuckahoe Sports located in Tuckahoe Park is open for small, safe, and socially distant virtual learning with supervision. We will provide the classroom environment, Wi-Fi, and support for your child to follow along with the County-provided curriculum for the first nine weeks in the Fall.
Should virtual learning continue for the County beyond the first nine weeks, classes will be available in subsequent sessions to parallel the school year.
Initial nine-week classes would run Monday, Sept 8 thru November 13 with the exception of school holidays: Sept 28th and Nov 3rd. Drop off begins at 8:00 am and pickup will begin at the end of the school day.
Elementary day ends at 1:30 pm. Middle School day ends at 2:50 pm. The overall supervised day ends at 3:30 pm.
There will be tutoring options available that can be scheduled directly with staff that will be onsite at the end of the school day.
Classes will be open to rising 3rd thru 8th-grade students. We require that each student provides their own computer or tablet. Breaks will be provided both indoor and out, allowing for physical activity during the school day.
Students will also have the option to opt-in for add ons such as lunch, athletic activities, or snack account.
We will also provide opportunities for baseball, softball and/or speed & agility for students 3:30 – 5:00 pm. Students/parents will be required to commit to answering health questions, practice social distancing and temperature taking upon daily arrival.
Classes are limited. Students will be socially distanced with 20 students in our large classroom and 12 students in our smaller classroom. We will offer both a 5-day option (Mon–Fri) as well as a 3-day option (Mon,Wed,Fri).
Registration requires first weeks deposit. The remaining balance will be divided into 8 payments due each Monday starting 9/7/2020.
