Sami Davidson was standout softball player from Randolph-Macon College graduating in 2022 with a bachelor’s degree in history and minor in art history and studio art. She was a 6 year starter taking full advantage of the two extra COVID-19 years allowed by NCAA. Currently, Sami is offering catching lessons from beginner to college levels as well as hitting.
In 2018, she was recognized for her exceptional skills batting .387, earning a spot on the All-ODAC First Team, First Team All-State, and the NFCA All-Atlantic Region First Team. Known for her prowess behind the plate, Davidson led the ODAC in runners caught stealing, nabbing an impressive 15 out of 21 runners for the year. The following year she earned a spot on the All-ODAC Third Team. In 2020, Davidson also secured a spot on Second Team All-State batting .427.
The Yellow Jackets made four NCAA Regional appearances during Sami’s tenure, finishing with two regional championship wins, a super-regional championship, and a NCAA Championship tournament appearance. She was also responsible for pitch calling for the number one pitching staff in the country in 2018 maintaining a 1.21 ERA.
Currently Sami is a Museum Educator at the Virginia Museum of History and Culture as well as an assistant coach at Saint Gertrude High School.
