Rasheeda Crews, a Brookneal, VA native, proved to be dangerous with the bat in her hands as she batted .395 in 81 At-Bats in her junior season in college. She was also a dominant force behind the plate during her college career at Eastern Mennonite University. She was named All-ODAC Third Team in 2012 and All-ODAC Second Team in 2011. She graduated in 2013 with a degree in Computer Science while minoring in Exercise Science. Rasheeda also has a masters degree in Special Education and is currently an Exceptional Education Teacher at a local high school in Henrico County Public Schools.
Rasheeda has immense passion for the game of softball and lives by the principles of Faith, Family, and Softball. Rasheeda started coaching Fastpitch softball in Rockingham County during her undergraduate studies at EMU. After graduating and relocating to Richmond, VA, Rasheeda continued her coaching career by taking on a High School Varsity coaching job where she was responsible for pitching, catching, fielding, and hitting development. Throughout her four year high school coaching stint, she was named Region B Coach of the Year as well as Female Coach of the Year for Henrico High School in 2017-2018. In addition, Rasheeda also has NCAA Division 2 College softball coaching experience, where she was responsible for pitching, catching, and hitting instruction. While coaching at a local D2 University, Rasheeda’s hitting instruction landed the team in top ten ranking nationally for overall team batting average at .352 the entire 2021-2022 season. Rasheeda uses the P.R.I.D.E acronym and life lessons to help further cultivate and develop young female athletes in softball. Rasheeda will be offering individual and group skill development lessons for Pitching instruction for softball players whose skill set range from beginner to advanced, Hitting instruction for players whose skill set may range from beginner to advanced and infield and catching instruction for players whose skill set may range from beginner to advanced.
