Experience
Edie Jennings, a Hanover County local. Edie is currently a Freshman at Randolph College in Lynchburg, VA, where she’s balancing her time between studying sport and exercise studies with a minor in biology and playing as a catcher and 1st baseman for the college’s softball team in the competitive D3 ODAC conference.
With a deep background in softball starting from age 6, Edie transitioned from playing rec ball at Beaverdam Youth League to travel ball at just 9 years old. She recently graduated from Patrick Henry High School as a 4-year varsity starter and team captain during her junior and senior years, playing both 1st base and catching.
Edie’s experience as a coach spans multiple age groups and skill levels. She has helped coach 10u rec ball teams at Rockville Youth League and led summer and winter clinics for 7-15 year-olds. Having learned to catch herself as a freshman in high school, Edie places a strong emphasis on teaching the fundamentals and cultivating good habits, all while ensuring the game remains enjoyable for young players.
Edie is offering individual lessons for softball players of all skill levels—from beginners to advanced. Her focus areas include developing catching, infield (specifically 1st base), and hitting fundamentals. Edie’s coaching sessions will be available from the end of May through August 2025 (summer break), and December through January (winter break).
