Experience
Hello, my name is Chelsey Farthing. I am a Goochland, Virginia native who began playing softball when I was 6 years old. I played at Goochland Youth Athletic Association for 5 years and began playing travel ball in 10u. I attended Goochland High School and played varsity as a freshman through senior year. I am a Pitcher and a true utility. While playing for Goochland, I earned many accolades such as First Team All District 3x, First Team All Region 2x, First Team All Metro 2x, and Second Team All State Pitcher. I also earned Regional Player of the Year my senior year. I am currently in a gap year due to a torn labrum but plan on attending a university for softball in the fall. I have learned and developed an endless amount during my time playing softball on and off the field. My goal for holding lessons is to teach younger players how to strive for success and reach their potential, while still being passionate about softball and having fun. I coached for GYAA last season and have experience giving private lessons as well. I have had much experience in coaching, fitness training, player development, and motivational speaking especially for younger athletes to develop their mental side of the game. I plan on coaching Goochland High School’s Junior Varsity team this upcoming season to continue my passion for coaching.
