Coach Jonathan has been coaching baseball from Middle School/ High School Baseball to the Travel Baseball Leagues of RBI & MBL. He provides a strategy for baseball fundamentals that include hitting, pitching, base running, fielding.
Jonathan attended Mills Godwin High School and was a 3-year varsity starter, he pitched, played corner infield and outfield. He walked on to San Diego Community and played 3 years in a semi-independent league in California before tearing his rotator cuff. Not able to play anymore didn’t deter his love of the game! It fueled him to teach the strategies and fundamentals needed to become a successful baseball player. Great sportsmanship and teamwork are part of the fundamentals expected during his training session.
As he enters his sixth season as a Head Coach and second season with the TSI Training Center, his baseball career has taken him from the 4 corners of Richmond and Henrico County to Central Florida. He was Head Coach for 6 years in the give-back to the Richmond Baseball program (Metro Baseball League), 2 years as the Head Coach for Fairfield Middle School.
His expectations are the same for everyone – come to the field to work hard and you will reap the rewards of your efforts. Lastly, be open to the Teachable Moments that will occur.
