2023 Lead-Off Event Recap

Thanks to all that supported the 2023 TSI Annual Lead-Off Event with guest speaker MLB Two-Time World Series Champion, Howard Johnson.

Over 300 TSI members gathered to celebrate the past year and those accomplishments that set our organization apart. The event was held at Drive Shack Richmond and provided the perfect setting for celebrating and supporting one another.

From Coach of the Year, Joe Daley to Jake Harris, 2023 who received the TSI Grinder Award for the athlete that puts in the work necessary to succeed, along with individual Team winners as chosen by their coach, we had an awesome evening.

We also celebrated the Class of 2023 Commits and provided them with the banners that will be added to our showcase within the fieldhouse. We are so proud of where they are headed and we look to cheer them on as they follow their dream to continue college play.

Several of our sponsors participated and had an opportunity to interact with our members. The Silent Auction again had a great assortment of MLB memorabilia including framed jerseys, autographed bats and baseballs, and a great tailgate package. However the most coveted item of the evening was “Sleepover in the Facility” which was won by the 10U Daley team…. already wondering how much fun that will be!

As we wrap up, we have raised money that will go back into our program thru the addition of pitching machines, new radar guns, and digital screens that will hang in the bullpen along with new on-field screens. Keep a look out as you visit as these items will start arriving soon.

We also have some great partnerships that can benefit from some additional programming thru our commitment to sharing baseball/softball with kids from all backgrounds thru Henrico PAL, Challenger Day, Kids On First and youth organizations in our region.
