ExperienceHello, my name is Madison Salzman. I am a Midlothian, Virginia native who began playing softball at the age of 7. I played for Huguenot Little League until I was 14 and then started playing travel ball. I attended Midlothian High School, where I played varsity softball from my freshman to senior year. During my time at Midlothian, my positions included catcher, outfield, and second base. After graduating from Midlothian I would return every summer break from college to help coach.
This past November, I graduated early from Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Alabama, as a junior. I earned a degree in psychology with a minor in criminal justice. During my three years playing at Huntingdon, my team became the Collegiate Conference of the South (CCS) regular season champions my junior year and was fortunate enough to host the conference tournament that year as well. In my final season, our team became the first softball team in my college’s history to make the NCAA tournament and host the first round. We ended the year ranked #9 in the nation for Division III. I am currently applying to graduate schools and awaiting decisions to pursue a career as a sports psychologist.
With a deep passion for softball and commitment to empowering the next generation of athletes, I am excited to share my knowledge of the game and help girls develop both their skills and confidence while having fun. My goal is to not only teach the fundamentals of softball but also to guide athletes in handling challenges with a mindset focused on growth and success. I aim to inspire players to believe in themself, have fun, and always strive to do their best on and off the field. I have previous experience giving private lessons, coaching, and strength training.
I am offering individual lessons and group lessons for all ages and skill levels, from beginner to advanced. My focus areas include catching, outfield, and hitting fundamentals.
