What does Harmony Baseball Academy in Cameroon, Africa have in common with Tuckahoe Sports in Henrico County, Virginia?

Well, two things at least for now:

Both organizations have a love of baseball and have the same jerseys!

A few weeks ago, we noticed a posting on Facebook from a new baseball organization called Harmony Baseball with the following mission statement:

Our mission is to provide high quality baseball training to the youth of Cameroon while also providing them with mentorship and purpose to help develop our players into not only high quality athletes, but high quality people.

We reached out to the founder and CEO Harmony Arsel to see if the organization would be interested in our extra Orioles jerseys we have collected over the years.

Harmony got back with us and said YES. We packed up the jerseys and off they went!

First stop was a processing station in the US and then off to Yaounde, Cameroon. Although the package did take about a month to arrive, the players were happy to receive their new jerseys and already broke them in with a game.

Anytime we can assist a brand new organization that provides opportunities to learn and play the great game of baseball, we are all in!

Hopefully, in a small way we have helped Harmony keep growing the game in Cameroon.
