Baseball Tryouts Tip #1: Be Prepared
In the weeks leading up to the tryout, get yourself physically and mentally ready. Make sure you are in mid-season form on your throwing, hitting, and pitching. Be ready to give 100% during each phase of the tryout.
Baseball Tryouts Tip #2: Look the Part
Show up with baseball clean pants, belt, socks, cleats, and hat. Keep your shirt tucked in and wear your hat correctly. Show up ready to compete. Don’t dress in the dugout. Carry your own bags to the field and bring necessary items like water, sports drink, and sunscreen.
Baseball Tryouts Tip #3: Pay Attention to Detail
When the coaches are speaking, make sure you have both eyes on them. Stay focused and understand the drill. Show the coaches you care about what you are doing and have a passion for the game.

Nothing may be worse than a player showing up just 5 minutes before the tryout starts. The night before, eat a good dinner, get to bed early, and wake up with a healthy breakfast. Arrive at the field at least 30 minutes prior to scheduled time. Know how long you will be at field for the day.
