Ben Williams – Player Development Coach & Instructor
Ben Williams brings Division I playing experience and a passion for developing young athletes to his role as TSI’s Player Development Coach and Instructor. He competed at both Radford University and Saint Peter’s University, concluding his collegiate career in 2025.
His path to Division I baseball began with the Mid-Atlantic Orioles organization before earning a starting outfield position as a freshman at Emory & Henry University. He later transferred to Paul D. Camp Community College, where he served as team captain, helped lead the program to the NJCAA World Series, set the school’s single-season stolen base record with 47 stolen bases, hit .319, and earned NJCAA All-Region honors before continuing his career at Radford.
As TSI’s Player Development Coach, Ben works with athletes ages 8 and up and serves as a resource for both players and coaches across the organization. He partners with TSI’s 8U through 13U teams to help ensure consistent instruction, player development, and implementation of TSI coaching standards. Ben regularly attends team practices, assists coaches with practice planning, provides drill resources and training support, and works closely with players who need additional development to help them build confidence and improve their skills.
In addition to his player development role, Ben serves as the head coach to a Mid-Atlantic Orioles 11U and 14U team and offers private hitting and fielding instruction. He is committed to creating a positive learning environment where athletes are challenged, supported, and encouraged to reach their full potential.
Ben coaches players the way he always wanted to be coached—with positive instruction, accountability, encouragement, and a genuine investment in their long-term growth. His goal is to help every athlete develop strong fundamentals, a high baseball IQ, confidence in their abilities, and a lifelong love for the game.
Baseball Lessons with Coach Williams
Ben brings a wealth of collegiate playing experience and a passion for player development to every lesson. He competed at the NCAA Division I level for both Radford University and Saint Peter’s University, concluding his college career in the spring of 2025.
His journey to Division I baseball began with the Mid-Atlantic Orioles organization (2019–2021). Recruited as a freshman, Ben earned a starting outfield position during his first season at Emory & Henry University. He later transferred to Paul D. Camp Community College, where he served as team captain and helped lead the program to the NJCAA World Series.
During his standout season at Paul D. Camp, Ben set the school’s single-season stolen base record with 47 stolen bases, batted .319, and was named to the NJCAA All-Region team. His success led to recruitment by Radford University, where he tied the school record for most runs scored in a single game by scoring five times in one game.
Ben has been a familiar face at TSI for several years, assisting with camps, instructional programs, and coaching teams while building strong relationships with young athletes. He is passionate about helping players develop their swing, improve their approach at the plate, and build confidence in their abilities. In addition to hitting instruction, Ben also offers fielding lessons.
As a coach, Ben strives to provide the same type of instruction, encouragement, and mentorship that he valued throughout his own playing career. He believes in creating a positive, supportive environment where players can learn, grow, and enjoy the game while being challenged to reach their full potential. His goal is to help every athlete develop not only their skills on the field, but also the confidence and work ethic that will benefit them both on the field and off.
